2021-11-2, Washburn Hill Preserve, Haddam, CT

On 2021-11-2, I visited the Washburn Hill Preserve in Haddam, CT.  Washburn Hill Preserve is a Haddam Land Trust property.  I made an interactive map of the preserve with location numbers.  Here's a link to the interactive map: https://arcg.is/10uyKO .  Here's a static screenshot of the interactive map.

1.  Where I parked, in the turning circle at the north end of Williamsburg Road.

Near 1.  A map kiosk.

2.  A sign post at an intersection.

3.  This blind may have been over the border into Cockaponset State Forest.  The blind could have been used for hunting or for wildlife observation.

4.  Some fallen branches on the trail.

5.  An off-trail rock.

7.  Another rock near 7.  This must be the rock that the sign post at 2 called "Table Rock."

Near 2.  Fallen trees on the trail.

2.  Another view of the sign post.

6.  It looked like the trail used to go as far to the south as here, but that a shortcut had become the main trail.

7.  Another fallen tree on the trail.

Near 1.  The posted map.

This image is taken from this link on the Haddam Land Trust website: https://haddamtrails.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/WashburnTrail.pdf .  The map posted near 1 had details not shown on the map on the Haddam Land Trust website.

Near 1.  The beginning of the trail seemed to be on private property.
