On 2021-11-17, I visited the Hollister Preserve and neighboring preserves in Glastonbury, CT. I'll put in an annotated screenshot from https://hiking.waymarkedtrails.org/#?map=16!41.6885!-72.5786 . On the screenshot, I have put location numbers that I will refer to
6. A view towards Hartford.
7. One of the few blow-downs in the preserves. This was on a red-blazed trail.
7. Off the red trail in what was apparently a quarry at one time. Was this the kind of rock that was being quarried? Is this quartzite?
8. A rock outcropping along the red trail.
11. I wandered southerly on what looked like mountain bike trails. This appeared to be a see-saw for mountain bikes.
10. A stump on an unblazed trail in a tract of land which may or may not have been part of an official preserve.
9. Winged euonymus, otherwise known as burning bush, along an unblazed trail.
5. A set of trails displayed blazes like this.
3. This outcropping was along a steep, unblazed trail.
2. Smith Brook near where a white-blazed trail met the blue-white trail.
