2020-6-9, Sheepskin Hollow Preserve, East Haddam, CT

I think my other photo blog is about full, so I'll start a new one.  The address of my old blog is http://davidreikandjudithlohmanpictures.blogspot.com/ .

On 2020-6-9, I visited Sheepskin Hollow Preserve in East Haddam.  I made an interactive map of the preserve with numbers showing where I took the pictures below.  Here's a link to the interactive map:

I'll put in a screenshot of the map:

1.  The mountain laurel is in bloom.

2.  An impressive bridge.  It had steel girders.

3.  There were the remains of an old mill dam above this cascade.

4.  This set of cascades was below Sheepskin Hollow Falls.

5.  A view of the large beaver pond.

5.  I see this shrub frequently in wet places.  My identification: Sweet Pepperbush, Clethra alnifolia.

6.  The trails were overgrown in places, particularly on the white trail.

7.  A strangely shaped tree.
